Agriculture IoT SIM cards: rural coverage from US$1.00 per sensor
Low-power multi-network SIMs for soil probes, weather stations, irrigation controllers and livestock tags in places with one bar of signal. NB-IoT, LTE-M, 2G fallback and solar-friendly radio settings.
Agriculture connectivity at a glance
Universal eSIMs supplies agriculture IoT SIMs on 600+ networks in 180+ countries for US$1.00 per active SIM per month plus US$0.004 per MB pooled on IoT Go, or US$0.60 and US$0.0025 on IoT Scale from 1,000 SIMs. 400 sensors at 3MB each on IoT Go cost US$404.80 a month, US$1.012 per device, with inactive SIMs free.

The problem
Farms are where coverage is thinnest. A soil probe in a field may see one network at the edge of its range, and a locked single-network SIM gives you nothing when that network has a bad day. Devices run on small batteries or solar and must not waste energy on failed attaches. Agritech companies need a SIM that picks the one network that works, radio modes that respect the battery, and a price low enough to put a sensor on every hectare.
Small SIM. Bigger possibilities.

Get startedHow to deploy agriculture IoT SIMs in 4 steps
Test with the trial kit
5 SIMs with 100MB each, 30 days, shipped in 3 to 7 working days. Fit them in your soil moisture and nutrient probes and check attach, signal and steering at real sites.
Order from 1 SIM
No minimum on IoT Go at US$1.00 per active SIM plus US$0.004 per MB. Choose 2FF, 3FF, 4FF or MFF2. API keys are issued instantly.
Configure for the use case
Multi-IMSI access to every partner network at the site, not just one. Free trial kit so you can test the actual field before buying. Register a webhook so alerts reach your own platform.
Scale on published rates
At 1,000 active SIMs the rate drops automatically to US$0.6 and US$0.0025. Above 10,000, IoT Enterprise adds an SLA and a dedicated manager.

Agriculture: questions engineers and procurement ask
Will your SIM work where only one operator has signal?
That is the point of multi-IMSI. The SIM carries several identities and attaches to whichever partner network is available at the field, so you are not locked to the operator you happened to buy from. Test it with the free trial kit: 5 SIMs with 100MB each for 30 days, enough for a month of readings from five positions.
What do 400 sensors cost per month?
On IoT Go, 400 sensors at 3MB each cost 400 × US$1.00 + 1,200MB × US$0.004 = US$404.80 a month, or US$1.01 per sensor. Seasonal sensors can be suspended between crops and cost nothing while inactive.
NB-IoT or LTE-M for farm sensors?
NB-IoT for buried probes and anything sending a few bytes a few times a day; it penetrates further and sips power. LTE-M for irrigation controllers, weather stations with cameras and anything that needs firmware updates or quick commands. Where neither is available we fall back to 2G or 4G on a different IMSI.
How long will a battery sensor last on your SIM?
Battery life is set by the device and its reporting interval, but the SIM and network settings matter. With PSM and eDRX negotiated and steering configured to avoid attach loops, an NB-IoT probe reporting 4 times a day typically runs 5 to 8 years on 2 AA lithium cells.
Do fixed farm sensors in India need a local SIM?
Yes, for deployments beyond 90 days. Our SIM includes an Indian local profile with KYC handled by us, so sensors installed in India are compliant from day one without a separate Indian SIM purchase.
Can I see which network each sensor is using?
Yes. SIM diagnostics show the last network, radio technology, signal class and attach history per SIM, in the console and through GET /v1/sims/{iccid}. Use it to find sensors that need relocating or an external antenna.
How does the free trial kit work?
Request it with a company address and use case. We verify the address, then ship 5 SIMs with 100MB each, valid 30 days, from India and the EU in 3 to 7 working days. You get console and API access on the day you request it, so you can start in the sandbox before the SIMs arrive.
Is there a minimum order or contract?
No. Order 1 SIM online on IoT Go at US$1.00 per active SIM per month with no contract. IoT Scale from 1,000 SIMs has an optional 12-month term that takes a further 10% off the SIM fee. IoT Enterprise above 10,000 SIMs is negotiated.
How quickly can I get API access?
Immediately. API keys are issued when you create an account. The REST API uses JSON, we publish a Postman collection, and there are snippets in Python, Node.js and cURL. A sandbox with simulated SIMs lets you test activation, usage and webhooks without hardware.
