Fair usage policy
Template for legal review. These terms were drafted on 25 October 2026 for Universal eSIMs and must be reviewed by counsel in each market of sale before launch.
Universal eSIMs unlimited plans provide full network speed for the first 2GB of use each day and 3 Mbps thereafter until the next day begins (UTC). Hotspot and tethering are allowed on every plan without a separate cap. Plans are for personal use on one device at a time; automated, commercial redistribution or continuous machine use is not permitted on consumer plans.
Unlimited plans
- Full speed for the first 2GB per day, then 3 Mbps until 00:00 UTC. 3 Mbps supports maps, messaging, music, standard-definition video and voice and video calls.
- The daily allowance resets every 24 hours; unused full-speed data does not carry over.
- Hotspot is allowed and counts towards the same 2GB daily allowance.
Fixed-data plans
- Data is counted in MB as reported by the partner network. When the balance reaches zero, data stops until you top up.
- Hotspot is allowed without restriction beyond the plan balance.
Not permitted on consumer plans
- Use in routers, IoT devices or vehicles for continuous machine traffic. Use the IoT SIM for devices.
- Resale of connectivity without a partner agreement.
- Any use that violates the law or the partner network's terms in the country of use.
Permanent roaming
Travel eSIMs use roaming profiles. Some countries limit how long a roaming profile may stay connected continuously, typically 90 to 180 days. For stays beyond 90 days, use a student SIM or a local plan; we will tell you before any limit affects you.
