How to size and run a pool
Size the pool
Count traveller-trips a month and multiply by 4GB to 6GB per trip. Ten trips is about 50GB. The dashboard re-estimates from real usage after the first month.
Set caps and alerts
Default caps are 5GB per trip and 15GB per traveller per month. Alerts at 50%, 80% and 100%.
Choose the overflow rule
Hard stop, approve top-ups, or auto-step to the next tier.
Review monthly
The usage report shows cost per traveller, per trip and per country. Resize the pool up or down before the next cycle.

Pooled data plan questions
What is a pooled data plan?
A single monthly data allowance shared by every traveller on the account. Universal eSIMs pools are 50GB for up to 10 travellers at ₹24,999 a month and 300GB for up to 50 at ₹1,19,999. Any traveller in any of 130+ countries draws from the same pool at the same rate.
What does pooled data cost per GB?
About ₹500 per GB on Team Starter and ₹400 on Team Growth, if the pool is fully used. For comparison, the consumer Global 5GB plan is ₹600 per GB and a USA 10GB plan is ₹190 per GB.
What happens if the pool runs out before month end?
The admin chooses in advance: hard stop (data pauses until renewal), approve each top-up block of 10GB at the pool rate, or auto-step to the next tier for that month. Alerts go to admins at 50%, 80% and 100% of the pool and to travellers at their personal caps.
Does unused pooled data roll over?
Yes, for one month. A pool with 20GB unused in March has 70GB in April on Starter. Rolled-over data is used first. It does not accumulate beyond one month.
Is the per-GB rate the same in every country?
Inside the 130+ country pool footprint, yes. The pool has no per-country rate card; a GB in the USA costs the pool the same as a GB in Thailand. Countries outside the footprint are bought as single-country add-ons at published prices.
Can I limit how much one traveller uses?
Yes. Set per-trip and per-month caps per traveller or per group. A cap pauses that traveller's line, not the pool. Travellers can request more from the app, and an admin approves in one tap.
When does a pool beat per-trip buying?
Roughly at five traveller-trips a month. Five 5GB Global trips cost ₹14,995 per trip; the Starter pool costs ₹24,999 for 50GB and covers ten such trips. Below five trips, buy per trip or give frequent flyers a World Wallet seat at ₹4,199 a year.
Can pooled plans include IoT devices too?
Not in the same pool; IoT SIMs use their own per-MB pooled pricing on the IoT platform because device traffic patterns differ. Both show on the same company account and invoice. See IoT pricing.
Are there set-up fees or minimums?
No set-up fee. Starter and Growth are monthly with no minimum term. Enterprise pools are sized to your travel and billed annually.
