How billing and invoicing work
Usage is metered per SIM
Every data session is recorded by ICCID, country and network. Usage in the console and API updates every 5 minutes.
The pool is totalled monthly
All active SIMs on the account share one per-MB rate. Group budgets are soft limits with alerts unless you set a hard auto-suspend.
The invoice lists everything
Active SIM count, pooled MB, SMS, add-ons and any term discount, itemised per SIM in the CSV attachment. GST invoice for INR billing, USD invoice otherwise.
You pay monthly in arrears
Card or UPI on IoT Go, invoiced on the 1st. Net 30 by bank transfer on IoT Scale after a credit check. Negotiated terms on Enterprise.

IoT pricing questions: minimums, inactive SIMs, overage and currency
Is there a minimum order or contract?
No. Order 1 SIM online on IoT Go at US$1.00 per active SIM per month with no contract. IoT Scale from 1,000 SIMs has an optional 12-month term that takes a further 10% off the SIM fee. IoT Enterprise above 10,000 SIMs is negotiated.
What does an inactive SIM cost?
Nothing. A SIM is inactive until its first data session and whenever you suspend it. You can hold 5,000 SIMs in stock and pay only for the 300 that are live this month.
What happens if I use more data than expected? Is there an overage rate?
There is no overage rate because there is no bundle. On IoT Go you pay US$0.004 for every MB used across the pool, whether that is 1MB or 1TB. Set alerts and auto-suspend if you want a hard ceiling. On IoT Scale, pooled bundles are optional and any usage above a bundle is charged at the same US$0.0025 per MB.
Which currencies do you bill in?
Prices are set in USD. Indian customers can be billed in INR with a GST invoice; the IoT Go SIM fee is ₹89 per active SIM per month. Other customers are billed in USD by card or bank transfer. Usage is itemised per SIM and per country on every invoice.
When does billing start for a SIM?
On its first data session, not on shipment or activation. Order 1,000 SIMs, activate them all, and you pay only for those that have passed data this month. A SIM that passes 1KB is counted as active for that month.
How do you count an active SIM across a month?
A SIM is active in a billing month if it had at least one data session or sent an SMS in that month. The fee is not pro-rated by day; a SIM active on the 30th costs the same as one active all month. Suspend SIMs you do not need before the month starts to avoid the fee.
Is there a charge for the platform, API or support?
No. Platform, API, webhooks, sandbox and email support are included on IoT Go. Priority support is included on IoT Scale. A dedicated manager and SLA are included on IoT Enterprise. The only add-ons are A2P SMS at US$0.03 per message and private networking setup from US$250.
What does the 12-month term on IoT Scale change?
It takes a further 10% off the per-SIM fee, from US$0.60 to US$0.54, in exchange for a 12-month commitment to a minimum active SIM count you set. Per-MB pricing is unchanged at US$0.0025. Without the term, IoT Scale is month to month.
What are the payment terms?
IoT Go is billed monthly in arrears by card or UPI, with invoices on the 1st. IoT Scale can be invoiced on net 30 terms by bank transfer after a credit check. IoT Enterprise terms are negotiated. GST invoices are issued for Indian billing; USD invoices for everyone else.
Will prices rise after I deploy?
Published prices apply to existing customers for at least 12 months after any change, and the 12-month term on IoT Scale fixes them for the term. We publish any change on this page with the date. Enterprise contracts fix prices for the contract length.
