What you get: all 12 features

Connectivity platform features

Feature What it does Lifecycle Activate, suspend, resume and terminate any SIM from the console or the API. Changes apply within 60 seconds. Pooled data All active SIMs on an account draw from one pool. One device using 500MB and ninety-nine using 1MB costs the same as a hundred using 6MB. Usage alerts Thresholds per SIM, per group or per account. Delivered by email and webhook within 5 minutes of the trigger. Geo-fencing Alert or auto-suspend when a SIM attaches outside an allowed country list. SIM diagnostics Last network, last attach time, signal class, radio technology, IMEI and session history for each SIM. IMEI lock Bind a SIM to one device IMEI. If it is moved to another device, data stops and a webhook fires. SMS A2P Send machine-to-device wake-up or configuration SMS at US$0.03 per message. Usage API and webhooks REST and JSON. Usage by SIM, by day, by country. Webhook events for attach, detach, threshold, geo-fence and IMEI change. CSV export Export SIM inventory, usage and invoices as CSV from the console or on a schedule. Role-based access Owner, admin, engineer, finance and read-only roles with per-group scoping. Developer tooling Postman collection and SDK snippets in Python, Node.js and cURL. Sandbox account with simulated SIMs. Private networking Private APN, static IP and IPsec VPN on IoT Scale and above. Setup from US$250.

How to get running on the platform

01

Create an account and get keys

Sign up, verify your company email and you have console access and an API key within minutes. The sandbox has simulated SIMs so you can build before hardware arrives.

02

Import and group your SIMs

SIMs you order appear automatically. Upload a CSV to map ICCIDs to your device IDs and group them by project, customer or site.

03

Set rules

Usage thresholds, geo-fences, IMEI locks and auto-suspend per group. Register a webhook so events reach your own systems.

04

Operate and export

Watch diagnostics, resolve alerts, suspend and resume devices, and export usage and invoices as CSV. Finance gets a read-only role.

Connectivity platform questions

Is there a licence fee for the platform?

No. The platform, API, webhooks and sandbox are included with every SIM at US$1.00 per active SIM per month on IoT Go. There are no user seat fees and no charge for inactive SIMs sitting in the inventory.

How fast do lifecycle changes apply?

Activate, suspend, resume and IMEI lock changes apply within 60 seconds. Terminate is immediate and permanent. Usage data in the console and API updates every 5 minutes; webhooks fire within 5 minutes of the triggering event.

What roles are available?

Owner, admin, engineer, finance and read-only, each scoped to all SIMs or to named groups. Finance sees invoices and usage but cannot change SIM state. Engineers manage SIMs but cannot see billing. Every action is written to an audit log you can export.

Can I run the platform for my own customers?

Yes. Group SIMs per customer, give each customer a read-only or engineer role scoped to their group, and export per-group usage for rebilling. Resellers and platforms wanting a white-label console should see the partner API page.

What diagnostics do I get per SIM?

Last network and country, last attach and detach time, radio technology (2G, 4G, LTE-M, NB-IoT, 5G), signal class, IMEI, session history for 90 days and data by day. Enough to tell a dead device from a dead network without a site visit.

How does pooled data work across groups?

By default all active SIMs share one account pool at one per-MB rate. You can set a soft budget per group with alerts at 50%, 80% and 100%, and optionally auto-suspend the group at a hard limit. Billing is per MB used; there is no bundle to pre-buy on IoT Go.

Can I export everything?

Yes. SIM inventory, usage by SIM and by day, events and invoices export as CSV from the console or by API, on demand or on a daily schedule to email or an S3-compatible bucket.

How quickly can I get API access?

Immediately. API keys are issued when you create an account. The REST API uses JSON, we publish a Postman collection, and there are snippets in Python, Node.js and cURL. A sandbox with simulated SIMs lets you test activation, usage and webhooks without hardware.

What does an inactive SIM cost?

Nothing. A SIM is inactive until its first data session and whenever you suspend it. You can hold 5,000 SIMs in stock and pay only for the 300 that are live this month.
