Terms of service
Template for legal review. These terms were drafted on 25 October 2026 for Universal eSIMs and must be reviewed by counsel in each market of sale before launch.
These terms govern the purchase and use of prepaid eSIMs, physical SIMs, student plans, business plans and IoT connectivity from Universal eSIMs. Plans are prepaid, non-transferable and subject to the fair usage policy and refund policy. By placing an order you accept these terms.
1. Who we are
Universal eSIMs is the trading name of [registered company name], registered at [registered address], Hyderabad, India. Contact: hello@universalesims.com.
2. The service
We sell prepaid mobile data plans delivered as eSIM profiles or physical SIM cards, connected through licensed partner networks in each destination. Network availability, speed and coverage depend on the partner network and your location and device. We state the partner networks on each product page and update them when they change.
3. Eligibility and devices
You need a carrier-unlocked, eSIM-capable device for eSIM products. You are responsible for checking compatibility using our checker; we refund in full if a compatible device cannot install the eSIM.
4. Orders, prices and payment
Prices are shown in INR including GST for Indian customers and in other currencies for convenience; the charged amount is stated at checkout. Orders are confirmed by email with the eSIM QR code or dispatch details. We may refuse or cancel orders where fraud is suspected.
5. Activation and validity
eSIM plan validity starts when the profile first connects to a network in the destination. Profiles must be first used within 180 days of purchase. Physical SIM validity is stated on the product page.
6. Fair usage and acceptable use
You agree to the fair usage policy, to comply with the laws of the country of use, and not to use consumer plans in machines or for resale.
7. Refunds
See the refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. KYC for physical SIMs
Physical SIM sales in India require customer verification under Department of Telecommunications rules. You agree to provide accurate documents; we may cancel orders where verification fails.
9. Support and service levels
Support is provided 24/7 by WhatsApp and email. Business and IoT customers may have additional service levels in their order form.
10. Liability
Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the affected plan. We are not liable for indirect losses, for losses caused by partner network outages beyond our control, or for consequences of device incompatibility you could have checked. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Partners
Affiliate, reseller, franchise and platform partners are bound by their separate partner agreements, which prevail over these terms for partner matters.
12. Changes
We may update these terms; the version in force at the time of your order applies to that order.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India and the courts of Hyderabad have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
