GPS tracker SIM cards for asset tracking from US$1.00 a month
Low-power multi-IMSI SIMs for containers, pallets, equipment and high-value goods that move across borders. LTE-M and NB-IoT, 180+ countries, per-MB pricing you can see.
Asset tracking connectivity at a glance
Universal eSIMs supplies GPS tracker SIM cards on 600+ networks in 180+ countries for US$1.00 per active SIM per month plus US$0.004 per MB pooled on IoT Go, or US$0.60 and US$0.0025 on IoT Scale from 1,000 SIMs. 800 trackers at 5MB each on IoT Go cost US$816 a month, US$1.020 per device, with inactive SIMs free.

The problem
Assets go where the customer sends them. A container tag fitted in Chennai may report from Rotterdam and then from Lagos. Battery trackers must sleep most of the time and connect anywhere when they wake, and the owner wants to know the moment a tag goes quiet or leaves a region. Asset tracking needs global coverage on one SIM, radio modes that protect the battery, and a bill that stays small when tags are idle.

Get startedHow to deploy GPS tracker SIM cards in 4 steps
Test with the trial kit
5 SIMs with 100MB each, 30 days, shipped in 3 to 7 working days. Fit them in your shipping container tags and check attach, signal and steering at real sites.
Order from 1 SIM
No minimum on IoT Go at US$1.00 per active SIM plus US$0.004 per MB. Choose 2FF, 3FF, 4FF or MFF2. API keys are issued instantly.
Configure for the use case
Multi-IMSI with 2G and 4G fallback where LPWA roaming is missing. Coverage API to check a destination before shipping. Register a webhook so alerts reach your own platform.
Scale on published rates
At 1,000 active SIMs the rate drops automatically to US$0.6 and US$0.0025. Above 10,000, IoT Enterprise adds an SLA and a dedicated manager.

Asset tracking: questions engineers and procurement ask
How much data does a GPS asset tracker use?
A tracker reporting once an hour uses about 1MB to 2MB a month. Every 5 minutes uses 5MB to 10MB. Adding temperature, shock and door sensors roughly doubles the payload. Firmware updates over LTE-M add 1MB to 5MB each. Pooling across the fleet means idle tags offset active ones.
What do 800 trackers cost per month?
On IoT Go, 800 trackers at 5MB each cost 800 × US$1.00 + 4,000MB × US$0.004 = US$816 a month, or US$1.02 per tracker. Trackers in a warehouse with suspended SIMs cost nothing, and reactivation takes under 60 seconds through the API.
Does LTE-M roam internationally?
Yes, but not everywhere. LTE-M roaming is broad across North America, Europe, Japan, Australia and much of Latin America, and growing in Asia and Africa. NB-IoT roaming is narrower. Our SIM falls back to 4G LTE or 2G on a different IMSI where LPWA roaming is missing. Use the coverage API or ask us for a country-by-country list.
Will my trackers work on ships and in ports?
In port and within a few kilometres of shore, yes, through the local networks. At sea there is no terrestrial coverage; trackers should sleep and report on arrival. We can configure steering so the device does not drain its battery trying to attach mid-ocean.
What if an asset sits in Brazil or Turkey for six months?
Permanent roaming rules in those countries can lead to the roaming profile being blocked. For assets that stay beyond 90 days we provision a local profile over the air where the tracker has an eUICC. For non-eUICC trackers we advise a short-stay plan and alerts at day 60.
Can I check coverage for a country before I ship?
Yes. GET /v1/coverage returns networks and technologies by country without an API key, and the coverage page lists the roaming rules we track. For a specific country list with LTE-M and NB-IoT confirmation, email us and we reply within 2 working days.
How does the free trial kit work?
Request it with a company address and use case. We verify the address, then ship 5 SIMs with 100MB each, valid 30 days, from India and the EU in 3 to 7 working days. You get console and API access on the day you request it, so you can start in the sandbox before the SIMs arrive.
Is there a minimum order or contract?
No. Order 1 SIM online on IoT Go at US$1.00 per active SIM per month with no contract. IoT Scale from 1,000 SIMs has an optional 12-month term that takes a further 10% off the SIM fee. IoT Enterprise above 10,000 SIMs is negotiated.
How quickly can I get API access?
Immediately. API keys are issued when you create an account. The REST API uses JSON, we publish a Postman collection, and there are snippets in Python, Node.js and cURL. A sandbox with simulated SIMs lets you test activation, usage and webhooks without hardware.
