Platform features included with every SIM
All twelve features, roles and export options are described on the platform page. Private APN, static IP and IPsec are on the private networking page.
How to get started in 4 steps
Order online or request the trial kit
Order from 1 SIM on IoT Go, or request the free trial kit of 5 SIMs with 100MB each. SIMs ship from India and the EU in 3 to 7 working days. API keys are issued the moment your account is created.
Fit the SIM and activate
Insert the 2FF, 3FF or 4FF SIM or solder the MFF2 chip. Activate from the console or with one API call. The device attaches to the strongest partner network in under a minute.
Set alerts, groups and locks
Group SIMs by project, set usage thresholds, enable IMEI lock and geo-fencing, and register a webhook so events land in your own systems.
Pay for what is active
Each month you pay US$1.00 per active SIM plus US$0.004 per MB across the pool on IoT Go. Inactive and suspended SIMs cost nothing. Scale pricing applies automatically from 1,000 active SIMs.

IoT SIM questions engineers and procurement ask
What is an IoT SIM card and how is it different from a phone SIM?
An IoT SIM is built for devices, not people. It carries several IMSIs so it can attach to many networks, it is rated for -40°C to +105°C and a million write cycles, it is data-only with machine SMS, and it is managed in bulk through a platform and an API. A phone SIM is tied to one operator, one tariff and a human who can change settings.
How much does an IoT SIM cost per month?
With Universal eSIMs, US$1.00 (₹89) per active SIM per month plus US$0.004 per MB pooled on IoT Go, dropping to US$0.60 and US$0.0025 on IoT Scale from 1,000 SIMs. A tracker using 20MB costs US$1.08 a month. Inactive SIMs cost nothing. Most competitors do not publish this figure.
How many networks and countries do you cover?
600+ networks in 180+ countries through our carrier partners, with 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, LTE-M, NB-IoT and 5G where supported. The coverage API lists networks by country and technology without a key. For a specific country list, ask us and we reply within 2 working days.
Is there a minimum order or contract?
No. Order 1 SIM online on IoT Go at US$1.00 per active SIM per month with no contract. IoT Scale from 1,000 SIMs has an optional 12-month term that takes a further 10% off the SIM fee. IoT Enterprise above 10,000 SIMs is negotiated.
What does an inactive SIM cost?
Nothing. A SIM is inactive until its first data session and whenever you suspend it. You can hold 5,000 SIMs in stock and pay only for the 300 that are live this month.
How does the free trial kit work?
Request it with a company address and use case. We verify the address, then ship 5 SIMs with 100MB each, valid 30 days, from India and the EU in 3 to 7 working days. You get console and API access on the day you request it, so you can start in the sandbox before the SIMs arrive.
How quickly can I get API access?
Immediately. API keys are issued when you create an account. The REST API uses JSON, we publish a Postman collection, and there are snippets in Python, Node.js and cURL. A sandbox with simulated SIMs lets you test activation, usage and webhooks without hardware.
What about permanent roaming restrictions?
Countries including India, Brazil, Turkey, China, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and Nigeria restrict foreign SIMs that stay long term. We provide local profiles where needed and publish a roaming-rules table on the coverage page, hedged as understood in October 2026. Tell us the countries and we confirm the approach per deployment.
Do you offer eSIM and eUICC for IoT?
Yes. MFF2 embedded eUICC chips ship with a global bootstrap profile and support remote SIM provisioning under GSMA SGP.02 (M2M) and SGP.32 (IoT) as supported by our profile partners. Local operator profiles are pushed over the air where permanent roaming rules require them.
Who is Universal eSIMs and why trust a new provider?
Universal eSIMs was founded in 2026 in Hyderabad, India and sells travel, student and IoT connectivity. We are new, so we publish every price, offer a 100MB trial, let you order 1 SIM with no contract, and invite design partners to our pilot programme with 3 months of waived SIM fees. Judge us on the trial.
