Why Dubai

Dubai International handles roughly 90 million passengers a year according to airport operator traffic reports and is the busiest airport in the world for international passengers. Dubai's population is about 3.5 million by government estimates, the large majority expatriates, with Indians the largest community, and the emirate receives roughly 17 million overnight visitors a year by Department of Economy and Tourism figures. Residents travel outbound to India, Europe and Asia several times a year, and inbound visitors need a UAE eSIM on arrival.

  • Outbound travel: a resident base that flies to India, the UK, Europe, Turkey, Thailand and the Maldives frequently, and a business community that commutes to Riyadh, Doha, London and Mumbai.
  • Inbound visitors: tens of millions of arrivals a year who need a UAE eSIM or a Middle East regional eSIM, which our platform also sells.
  • Student departures: UAE-schooled students leaving for the UK, USA, Canada and Australia each August and September, served by consultants in Knowledge Park, Al Barsha and Deira.
  • Exchange-house and travel-agent density: Deira, Bur Dubai, Karama and Al Fahidi hold the largest concentration of exchange houses and travel agencies in the Gulf, and many already sell SIMs at the counter.
  • University corridors: Dubai International Academic City and Knowledge Park host branch campuses whose students and faculty travel often.

Dubai franchise questions

What does the Dubai eSIM franchise cost in total?

The setup fee for Dubai is ₹5,00,000, about AED 22,000 at the indicative rate used on this site; the agreement is priced in AED at the rate on the signing date. We recommend an opening wallet of ₹1,50,000 (about AED 6,500). A mall kiosk costs roughly ₹2,00,000 to ₹5,00,000 (about AED 8,700 to AED 22,000) to fit out. Trade licence, staff, rent and your own marketing are extra.

How much can a Dubai franchisee earn?

Your sales decide that. As an illustration, 600 eSIMs a month at a ₹1,200 (about AED 52) average order is ₹7,20,000 in sales, which sits in the 40% band and earns ₹2,88,000 (about AED 12,600) of margin before your own costs. Sub-reseller sales at exchange houses add a 5% override. These are illustrations, not results; no Dubai franchise has operated yet.

Do I need a UAE trade licence to run the franchise?

Yes. The franchisee must hold a valid UAE trade licence with an activity that permits telecommunications equipment or prepaid card trading, in a mainland or free zone jurisdiction. We confirm the acceptable activity codes during the application and we handle supplier-side telecom compliance for the eSIM profiles themselves.

Can the Dubai franchise sell UAE eSIMs to inbound tourists?

Yes. The Dubai territory covers outbound eSIMs for residents and UAE and Middle East regional eSIMs for visitors. Both earn the same 35% to 40% franchise margin, and the inbound line gives you year-round sales outside the resident travel peaks.

When does the monthly minimum start?

From month four, at ₹1,00,000 (about AED 4,400) of wallet usage a month, which is about 84 eSIMs at a ₹1,200 average order. Months one to three have no minimum.

How are payouts and wallet top-ups handled in AED?

Wallet top-ups are accepted in AED by bank transfer or card and converted at the rate on the day; margin is retained inside the wallet, so there is no cross-border payout to wait for. Monthly statements show AED and INR values side by side.
